Holders for turning, milling, and drilling tools
The holder is manufactured according to the customer’s specifications. Care must be taken to ensure that there is sufficient holder material so that the diamond can be securely mounted. We are therefore happy to assist with the design of special holders.
Carbide or steel holders
If the application of a tool does not allow the diamond to be secured in the holder using a clamping mount, it is recommended to bond the stone in a high-vacuum environment. The holder can thus be made much slimmer and takes up less space. Since there is no cap clamping the diamond into the mount, optimal chip evacuation is guaranteed. With this method, the diamond is no longer protected, so tools bonded using high vacuum must be handled with great care. It should also be noted that repairing severely damaged tools bonded using high vacuum is more labor-intensive and therefore more expensive. With a steel holder, the diamond can be easily removed and reground thanks to the screw.
