The diamonds of the metal-cutting tools are pressed into a bed consisting of silver solder and fixed with a workholding fixture. Only a precisely worked mounting, exactly according to the dimensions of the stone, and a flawless mould of the diamond in the solder bed guarantee vibration-free operation of the tool.

The diamond holders are surface-ground using a surface grinding machine. For special application, the diamond can be brazed onto the holder by high vacuum.
The mechanics are also used for internal toolmaking and construction of jigs and fixtures.
